Oh my gosh this was a great series I guess I’m gonna have to go and see how many more I can watch it’s great to see someone be honest about what life is really like we all know it was a struggle because it’s a struggle now . But we don’t know what struggle is doing. We have running water, Lights, we have our cars to get around in, most important we have much better dental care and medical care. I don’t know how they survived they had to be really tough. We are not tough we are soft. And when we want food we go to the grocery store or to a restaurant. Even the poor in this country are really not poor we have a place to live we have lights and running water. Honestly this is going to sound terribly harsh when I say it we have over 100,000 homeless people in LA in orange county and Southern California honestly I bet you 90% of those people could be put in housing if they had enough in them to stop drinking and taking drugs and get together as a group 4 to 6 of them get minimum wage jobs and rent a house or an apartment they could do it. How do I know that because I have all of my grandchildren in their 20s living on their own somehow. The magic word is they work . So there is no reason in this country or the state to be homeless except if you want to be homeless. I understand the mentally ill need help they can’t get a job. Why our government doesn’t help them I do not know but maybe there’s no way to help the mentally ill because they don’t know they need help and they don’t want to live in a house. They want to live on the street I have no idea what is the true story. All I know is it’s not getting done. Me and my husband have never made a lot of money and we have a house we got utilities and we’re getting by somehow and we’re not suffering

We see these movies and dream about the dresses and the romance…but forget that we come from really poor families and would probably be the servant that was sold at the age of 5 to clean the poo bucket 🙈
